battle for?


Strictly speaking, the movie did not depict a Battle, but a massacre. What is it with this careless use of wording nowadays? For example "there is still a war in Iraq" when its not really, its an occupation.

I think you'll find that the title comes from a line the Sheik says near the end of the movie where he says the Americans have lost the battle of Haditha -i.e. the consequences of the massacre will be outrage in the US, Iraq, around the world, new recruits for AQ etc. - in other words the PR war. Which I dont think it did as most people I would argue are still quite ignorant of what happened that day.
