The acting

Did anyone else think the acting was horrible?

reply

agreed. and the script was just as wretched

reply

In all fairness, the actors were (at least for the marines) Iraq vets, not the usual actors. I agree there were some awkward moments, but I think by & large they gave very honest performances.

Also, there was no script. The film was improvised by the performers (in response to the other post here). Again, some awkwardness there, but I found I was willing to overlook it in light of the honesty in a lot of what they were saying (Ramirez's moments in particular).

I actually thought the acting was pretty decent, especially from the guy playing Ramirez.

I was pretty impressed with the acting. It felt almost like a reality TV Show, instead of a movie.

Very realistic feel. If you were looking for "The Kingdom" style of acting, then go look elsewhere. This movie is about truth, not hollywood glitz and glamor.

Either you die a hero.....or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain!!

It was weak at parts, okay at others, and good seldom.

"Meh," overall.
