When they were trying to make you confess the reason you were sent there and the other kids were pushing you around, whey wernt they fighting back. If i were there and they were kicking me on the ground i would get up and punch someone. most of them looked like they just kept taking the shots
shareI know what you mean, but I saw a show on tv about these kind of places awhile back, and I guess most teens are so frightened they don't fight back. Plus, these camps are located outside the U.S., so they are not subject to U.S. laws and regulations. A hardened criminal (killer, rapist, etc.) incarcerated at San Quentin has more rights than these kids at some of these out of country boot camps.
Personally, if I was ever sent to one when I was a teen, I would have refused to even move. They would have had to either kill me or send me home, because I wouldn't have played their game.
It seems like it's a losing battle. You could fight back or ignore it, but they could deprive you of food or shelter, as well as phsycally abuse you. It seems their options were limited.

If they had a kid in there who was a bit handy (like martial arts and so on) then they could incite that kid to seriously hurt someone with that sort of "confession" technique. I know I'd get one or two really good punches in before they got me to the ground - just imagine the damage a trained individual could do ... they could start a really dangerous riot

Well I think someone that is trained enough in martial arts or fighting would probably have enough self discipline to not be sent into one of those places to begin with. And unless your talking a real Master or somebody studying for most of their lives, they may get a few good punches in, but the group, plus the guards would take them down quickly. I would suspect they would be harmed even more.
