I was sent to a place like this

This is my story,when I was about to turn 18 I tried to commit suicide and because of that my parents hired a educational consultant to find a treatment center for me.I didnt know at the time that the reason I was having so much mental health problems was because I had contracted lyme disease when I was 10 or so. So anyways I wanted to be sent to a residential treatment center but the consultants lied to my parents and told them the only place I could go was a wilderness program. I was sent to Hawaii which sounds nice on paper but where I was it was 50 miles away in every direction to civilization. It was either pouring rain or burning hot the entire time and there was the biggest bugs and spiders I've ever seen. A lot of what is in this movie happened to me. Luckily I was only verbally abused and never physically although they did run out of my medication and didnt tell my parents for over 10 day. I went into withdrawals and couldnt even walk anywhere or sleep. The whole time i watched this movie it scared me how similar this was to my experience. I luckily got myself kicked out of the program but almost everyone there was just pretending to go with the program so they could just go home. However there were defiantly some who were brainwashed.Whats so scary about these places is they hire people with no psychology background and who dont know how to deal with kids with these problems. If any parents think about sending there kids to a wilderness program DONT!!! I am completely fine now and its all thanks to real professionals who know what there doing and can help people.
