What is the real story?
Does in the reality all kids are so calm? It would seem more real if at least half of kids would be untameable animals who fight all the time for their freedom.

Unfortunatley some wwasp programs are still going and are marketed to the public as schools for between 12 and 18. (parents are unaware of what sort of place they are sending their kids to. The film doesn't make that clear.) There is plenty of information out there and you tube has some good videos although there are also wwasp propaganda video's on there too. Oh and wiki gives some good info too.

I know that this is an old thread, but I was at a WWASP school from 17 to 18... Its called brainwashing. It exists. The worst part is that they lie to your parents so if you write to them and say something like "I'm pretty sure they're trying to mind *beep* me, and this isnt a normal rehab..." Your parents call the staff and say that you're manipulating them to go home.
shareSorry to hear you went to a WWASP "school" I won't pretend to know what you went though. But hope you managed to put your life back together. These places really should not exist and are nothing short of abuse.
Parents that sent their kids did so out of a genuine beleif that they would help and were willing to sum up the huge amounts of money to help their kids, they never knew what was happening there.
A long time before I saw this film I heard about WWASP and did a little reading one of the things I read was a forum for WWASP prisoners (sorry but thats what the "students" pretty much were)
I never made a comment or joined the site that didn't feel right as I was never a victim unlike almost everyone who posted there but some of the storys litrally had tears coming out of my eyes.
Hopefully the remaining WWASP "schools" will soon be closed. Unfortunatly this film doesn't even come close to how much many wwasp "students" suffered.
As I say I hope you have put your life back together and got though you time at wwasp with as little suffering as possible.
