why did they choose her for this movie? i thought the character suited a woman between 18-25. it makes more sense older men/younger women relationships were more common in colonial times. i dont want to be mean but she's not even that pretty/attractive and it didn't seem believable that he would fall in love with her. he was HOT and she was like.... average.

heres the character i imagine for sajani
about 20 yrs old, petite, maybe 5'2" & 110 lbs, long straight black hair, smooth dark skin, almond brown eyes, long eyelashes and sensual lips

I have to disagree with you. Nandita Das is very beautiful, in my opinion, and I didn't find the actor who played Henry attractive at all.
