shareThe phone call really smacked of baloney. Part of the reason Nixon was so awful was that he was so tightly controlled. Make a late night drunken phone call to the guy who was set to interview him the next day- nah. Read the Roger Ebert review- he calls that bit "fictionalized."
The movie was great, but would have been greater without that clanker.
