Roland, creepy? [mild spoilers]

I am watching this simultaneously now and I am half way through. Roland is very creepy to me. The texts he sends Melanie Laurent's character and when he is speaking he always has this creepy smile on his face! I cannot believe she sleeps with him! anyone agree? :)

UPDATE: finished it, loved it! I wanted to be at the party so bad! it looked like so much fun :), but I still find Roland's character creepy! haha

I definitely thought Roland was creepy. I think it's because on the inside he is confused, conflicted & emotional. But he tries to cover it with a logical, scientific appearance. The result: psycho. Oh that toothy smile... brrr-r-rr-r!

I think the girl slept with him because she was after the thrill. Or maybe in a weird way she's attracted to creepy dudes. But I don't think it was ever emotional or meaningful for her, not the way it was with Roland.

Still, despite him being creepy & all, I thought he was one of the most interesting characters. You don't meet people like that everyday

I didn't think he was creepy. I think he was mostly lonely and after watching the girl smiling during his classes, I think he felt like he had a connection with her because of their common interests and didn't really know how to relate to someone that much younger (which resulted in the embarrassing texts he sent.)

Oh, Adrian. Adrian always tells the truth.

I didn't like him either. I didn't even feel sorry for him. He seemed very arrogant even if it was just a self defense mechanism.

I know right, I think she slept with him for a good grade.

His textual message somehow touched her heart and fulfilled her curiosity with a fact: the dude is the prof in her class. She was attracted to the sender of the message though at first she thought it was any idiot teenager having crush on her. Finally she accepted his heart and was willing to hang around with him at the same time having relation with her male classmate. The most unbearable and embarrassing part was when Roland saw the fact that she was too much for him to handle, and the short fling would eventually goes away. Reserved in his mind, when he peeped at her, his smile indeed was creepy; but when he showed her his passion when they were together, he laughed just like any dude in love, no creepy at all.
