Is the taxi not hitting the periphique and leaving Paris in the final shots? So does he go to the hospital or does he head out of town to die? There are cloud visuals suggesting heaven etc.

It is a perfect ending, methink. He, and all of us, will eventually say farewell to this world.

He still wants to live. He is going to the hospital,I'm sure. What a sad movie and what a great performance by Romain Duris and also Juliette.

His last look at the streets of Paris breaks my heart.
