Pretty predictable

Most Hallmark movies have a certain them to them and within a few minutes of a movie you can figure out pretty well what will happen next.

Well, that and the fact that in the preview Alicia Silverstone looked, literally, like death (I swear I've seen "cutesy" Halloween decor skeletons that looked damn near-identical to her at the end of her role.....), so guessing she'd die wasn't hard.

I just figured the "big secret" would have been it was Sam's baby, or something else (for some reason, I feared they'd say she'd had an abortion, botched, probably, and make a point of it....). Oh well, it was a decent movie.

That is true however earlier in the movie when she mentioned just how shick she was sapposed to be she didn't look it.

This movie was badly adapted. A MAJOR plot point was completly ignored, probably becasue it would renig the "Hallmark moment". Read the book.

So... what was the major plot point from the book?

Thanks.

an amazon reviewer mentions that the book ends with Sam aiding Dee Dee's euthanasia by supplying the meds. I think that may be what they're talking about.

This movie was too sad for my liking, but great acting by the kid though.

I read the book. I think the second half of the book was dull. The movie as a whole was better. Yes, they chose to take out a controversial aspect which would have not fit the "Hallmark brand." This is done in adaptions repeatedly.
