She has her child taken from her because she was married before?
That's how the judge deemed her an unfit mother? That doesn't make sense to me. And the judge didn't care that her husband beat the living crap out of her? He makes a fit father?

i assume he basically paid his way out of it and used her past to intimidate her into fighting the case.
