Why did she forsake all her art???

(Spoilers)I wanted to like her, I wanted to believe her journey but...it seemed predictably written by pure male fantasy. She walked away too easily from all her Artwork why base any emphasis on her Art and on her setting up Art studios whilst living with all those loser men? I'm not clear what year we were supposed to be in but cops cannot just walk into a Women's refuge and take a baby away from a battered women! Jolene should of had him charged with assault. I just got sick of watching her face it takes more than beauty to be an accomplished women. I realize some females have a hard life but it would of been a better movie if she just believed in her Art and went forward with that. I really expected her to open her own art gallery in the end but she too easily walked away from everything!
