Best Bit

Even though he could have been more economical in the delivery, I did like the story of the old couple he took a picture of and the advice the old man offered Dane on sustaining a relationship. This was the one instance where Dane did a very slow-build up to the punchline where it actually worked.

**Spoilers**

I liked the story about the man who sneezed at the (bus stop?) And the religious aspect of it was hilarious. And the ending just tied it all together wonderfully. (About him being reincarnated into a tree, then being chopped down, and turned into a bible.)

reply

Again, it was a great joke but it took WAY too long to get to the punch line about the bible.

"quickly, before the fog rolls in , tell me that do you like???"

i loved the B&E. especially ARE YOU WATCHING DOOR KICKER? I WANT A DIVORCED BECAUSE OF YOU... I DID MY BEST!!!!

and it wasnt a very big part, and didnt make much of a difference if you didnt catch it but i loved when he was talking about judging movei trailers and the action movie comes on and he says "where`s the van? the van was supposed to be here!" like its a line in the movie..i loved that.

reply

Actually, the whole "Where's the van?" bit was a reference to one of his previous stand-up tours, called Retaliation. If you haven't heard this one, I STRONGLY recommend it. You can buy the CD or download it on itunes. In my opinion, it's even funnier than Vicious Circle.

this whole thing was hilarious...but i agree...the mortal kombat thing was just over the top, just the expression on his face is too much

reply

I disagree i believe Vicous Cricle is alot funnier alothough there is alot of funny things in Retaliation, i believe that VC is alot better. One thing i hate though is when he starts talking about sex... It's pointless ur there/watching a stand up to laugh and have fun not here sleezy sex stories.

reply

Get a life! The sex part was truthful and hilarous. I am a female and I was not offended by his comments. I was laughing my ass off!!

reply

hands down that was the best part. im not a huge DC fan but he did something that was very Eddie Murphy of him... he tied *beep* in from all points in his performance and i love that. Like in raw when Murphy talks about "taking half his money" throughout and then he brings it back... great. But Cook needs to stop trying to put random circumstantial stories in a "this will always happen format" if that even makes sense. i did laugh out loud though which doesnt happen often watching stand up, soo....

reply

The B&E thing started out kind of funny, but it went on way too long. Dane Cook seems to be madly in love with the sond of his own voice and he needs to learn that less is more in the set-up and execution of a joke sometimes.

reply

It was the first time I saw Danes work and I have to say i loved it. I died at the part about women being mind terrorists and ninja-ing our brains. and the sneezing athiest

reply

I loved this dvd, do not get me wrong, I've watched it several times. I love it. However, I strongly prefer Retaliation to Vicious Circle...STRONGLY! If you like Dane Cook, then listen to Retaliation.

"This may sound like gibberish to you, but I think I'm in a tragedy."

reply

While I found much to laugh at in the entire thing the one part that would have made me spit milk through my nose is when he was talking about going down on the girl and her lady parts smelled and he came right back up....

"Then I just stood there like Mortal Kombat before a fatality."

reply

I like the movie theater "I just Came"

I also like the leg locked mind ninja

reply

I love the whole entire DVD.

Speaking of the "I just came bit", it so happens i work at a movie theatre. These 2 girls come up to concession and order. One of them looks down in the floor and says it sticky. Her friends goes I Just came. Me i could not help but burst out laughing. They look at me, and i say Dane Cook is awsome. They are quickly surprised by that and they start laughing. So i am asking them what cinematic adventure they are watching. And they order and they want the chesse from the nachoes (not really). But all in all, it was fun and the people waiting in line were pissed cause they did not know what the hell waa going on. But it was worth it.

Vicious Circle was garbage. None of it was even remotely funny.

reply

quickly before the fog rolls in tell me, that do u like

that and the whole masterbation part i can never stop laughing too

reply

I loved the B&E bit, The movie theater bit and the cheating (even though some people say he stole it) and the sex one.

dane's not that great but he definitly isn't not funny, i like some of his stuff but i would pick Dave Chapelle over him anyday.

reply

My favorite bit was the story with his friend Matt (the ice cream and unborn child). It's on the Uncut DVD.

reply

I love all the little details like trying to find his cup holder at the movies (cant they put a little *beep* 1-watt in there!)

Yep, the crying bit is classic! Especially because how often does a man admit - in public - to the fact that he cries?
