I remember being disapointed that...

... the storyline wasn't more original. A few minutes into the movie - and throughout the rest of it - I got the distinct impression that I already knew this story. It is very similar to Lisa Jewell's book, Thirtynothing. A few small changes here and there, of course, but basically, it's the same sory. Upon exiting the theatre, I asked my friend what she thought, and she agreed that there was a striking resemblance to the book. Seeing as it [the movie] is supposed to be a story in its own right, it was kind of a let down.

Reminds me of My Best Friend's Wedding. I never hold a lack of originality against romcoms, it's one of the most deriative genres. I'm hard pressed to think of any that is very unique.

But in my best friend's wedding he doesn't marry his best friend!
