Is this painkiller jane from marvel comics?

The schizophrenic psychopathic killer who's almost as insane as deadpool (but ofcourse no one is more insane than deadpool lol) I heard it's based off her but i guess it's minus the insane part.. which is boring. I guess Tv will never allow "insane" to be the basis of a show, especially if it where true to the comics. I really wanted to see her stories with Daredevil, punisher and especially Deadpool
the daredevils darkest secret would of been a good season intro or finallie

Show seems pretty bland anyhow to bad.

No I believe the character is from Dark Horse specifically. However she has crossed paths with Punisher many times and they have a thing going.

well the comics i read about her and the punisher, she believes hes her true love and the punisher is just annoyed to crap that she wont leave him alone lol.

lol!

From what I read about the comics, the character seems really one-dimensional. That's why I liked the show she had more depth to her. The character development was also much better for example she didn't fully trust the team until the very end of the season.

No, but I can see where the confusion is coming from.

Painkiller Jane was published by Event Comics, the independent comic company owned and managed by Joe Quesada (penciller) and Jimmy Palmiotti (inker) in the mid to late 1990s.

Quesada has since gone on to be editor-in-chief at Marvel.

The main comic in Event's lineup was Ash - a superhero fire fighter. It was pretty good, although it come out sporadically like most indies.

Event kind of died from neglect when Quesada and Palmiotti took a contract to produce Marvel's Daredevil comic under the Marvel Knights banner. That was so successful that they were handed the whole MK line and this eventually led to Quesada being made the big cheese at Marvel.

As for Painkiller Jane, I have the first edition somewhere but I don't remember that much about it. It was pretty unremarkable.

There have been some crossovers with other companies' character including Punisher.

Anyway, I hope that helps.
