WarGames vs. Eagle Eye...

Apart from the mediocre acting here and the whole WarGame idea, the
similarities with Eagle Eye are actually remarkable I must say! Lol!
I'm sure they are coincidental, just like Deep Impact and Armageddon
all those years ago that also came out the same summer.

The movie is watchable if a little messed up with so many subplots
involved...

Yeah, I saw the resemblance as well. This film looks like Eagle Eye made with a 1% of the budget.

I thought Eagle Eye was incredibly silly as well.

I thought the same. This movie has far more in common with Eagle Eye than WarGames. I figure they decided to write a sequel to WarGames, but realised there wouldn't have been much room for a story, other than a carbon copy of the original. Eagle Eye offered a similar "self-aware computer in control" scenario, but has far more options for the story, not to mention more relevance to the world we live in today, so they went more in that direction.

i thought the same thing; exactly like deep impact and armageddon.

I was going to start a thread saying I thought this movie was better than Eagle Eye but I saw your post and thought I'd just contribute.

This was a better movie than Eagle Eye IMHO.

Awfully tough for me to say it was better than I, Robot though. Wil Smith's performance alone made that an awesome movie. Good robot effects too.

actually this came out first and should sue the hell out of Eagle Eye for copyright

I agree. The first thing I thought was this movie is basically a mashup of Eagle Eye and Enemy of the State.

mhmmm hard descion, lol. it'd definetly be "eagle eye" as the better movie. i didn't hate the movie "war games" but it was too confusing and it lost my interest.
