Harmless fun (SPOLIERS)

Just watched War Games: The Dead Code. Whilst I agree with lots of the comments about the film being fairly average, its way way off the worst film of all time.

It did exactly what I expected. A silly cheap movie that uses the nostalgia of the original film to good effect. If you didn't like the original or never saw it, this will fall flat. If, like me, you have fond memories of the 1980s classic, then seeing Falken reboot W.O.P.R. was great.

And yes, the technology is hokum but that's because real technology is boring. Giant computers today calculate the position of stars, predict the weather and find the next prime number. They don't plat Global Thermo Nuclear War.

And Global Thermo Nuclear War is never boring.

Agreed. It wasn't any better than I expected, and surprisingly not much worse. In fact, especially because my expectations were low, I was surprised that the soundtrack and score was actually not bad. The artists (while pretty ...eh, not sure if poppy is the right word but you know what I mean) were fitting, and there were a few good "spy sounding" songs a la John Powell (though nowhere close, but you get the idea).

So yeah. Can't really hate the movie all things considered.
