The recast of Stephen Falkan
One word - embarrassing
There is a fine line between keeping an open mind and being gullible.
No, I thought the guy playing Falken (Gary Reineke) was actually pretty believable. He actually did look and sound like Falken would have 25 years later.
I thought it was kind of goofy and lame to abruptly kill him off as they did, though.
John Wood (the original Steven Falken) is still alive (81 now) and still did live-action roles as recently as 2007, so I suppose they could have tried to get him for the part.
Reineke certainly has a pretty good resemblance for Wood and carried off his mannerisms pretty well.
The first time I saw this on cable I thought they might have actually gotten Wood to play the part.
Actually he was one of the better parts of the movie although once again the way they killed him off was dumb and cliched.
