Twenty-five. Are you kidding me?

I may be confused but aren't these supposed to be high school students? "We are going to be late for gym class". Mommy grounded me.

Just because Matthew Broderick could pass for 16 when he was 21 do we have to always see twenty-somethings playing high school students in American films? Who do they think they are fooling? Matt Lanter who was 25 when this movie was made could have passed for 30 easier then 18!

Not able to employ the req'd "willing suspension of disbelief" to enjoy a piece of fiction? :-(

Me? I don't worry anymore about superfluous details that have no ultimate impact on the ending. I just enjoy the movie by following its overall premise, not getting bogged down in seemingly erroneous minutiae - though granted it is a bit more difficult when it involves subject matter that one is very, very familiar with. C'est la vie!

Instead, why not just assume then that the kids are in an identical, parallel Earth-like universe and thus ARE gamers in their 20's? And that high-school lasts 10-15 years? lol

You're gonna need a bigger boat.
