So is this comedy or is it film noir?

IMDb calls it comedy and a notice that it's the only Italian movie at Cannes this year calls it film noir. Who's right?

I was born when she kissed me. I died when she left me. I lived a few weeks while she loved me.

It's a comedy that uses (with respect) some "stereotypes" of noir, such as the gambler, the very cold killer, the dary lady, etc. If I should find an American parallelism I should say a film by brothers Cohen, but more serious. I saw it last week-end and I found it very very nice: Valerio Mastandrea and Giovanna Mezzogiorno are very good and also the supporting actors are memorables. If you have the occasione go and see it!

I have my doubts that it will get to a theater in my area, but hopefuly it will eventually be available on DVD.

That's a good idea. It's probably a movie enjoyable also on dvd.
