I thought Richard Dreyfuss was great in this.

I liked Richard's character a lot and thought he was one of the most entertaining aspects of the film. I even got a little emotional when it looked like his character (Irv) might die.

I couldn't agree more, I live his character, I believe he really made the movie work.

It was so good seeing him do a great job in his role as Irv. I always thought he was cute and cuddly. Still is, but in a different way. Yes, he added to the film!

Without Dreyfuss this movie would have sat there like a brick under water.
As it was, the movie was awful in the beginning, but picked up a bit as it sauntered along, again mostly due to Dreyfuss and the fleshing out of his character from being a loudmouth buffoon to a thoughtful, tender and wise oracle, or Irvacle.

"Irv" made the film. Dreyfuss was well suited for the role. Enjoyed the movie much more than I expected. Too bad it didn't do well in theaters. This is a word of mouth type film and better suited as a rental.

I won't say anything at all
So why don't you slide

Richard Dreyfuss has developed into a wonderful character actor. Let's hope he does more films so we can see his great talent.
