Obscene word in scene with Caitlin + Georgia? What did she really say?

I noticed this movie was rated PG-13 for sexual content. There is no mention of language but there is the scene where Georgia approaches Caitlin, takes the headphones out of her ears to hear what she's listening to, and asks if she needs anything. It sounds to me like Caitlin said 'this trip *beep* when she walked off! Could anyone tell me if I heard correctly?

I think she said, "This trip sucks"

At first I thought she said this trip sucks but when I repeated it a couple times the pronunciation sounded like 'f', not 's'. Unless the actress is horrible with diction. Did anyone else pick this up?

reply

She's British.

Does "This trip *beep* even make sense? Come on.

reply

Just got to that part and sounds exactly like she said that.

I watched the movie with closed captioning. According to that, Caitlin says "This trip sucks." That's what I heard as well. Anything else wouldn't make sense. Who says "This trip f * cks" ? That doesn't even make sense. Is that what you thought?

Yeah, that's what they thought. The OP is a real idiot.

I could write it better than you ever felt it.

LOL -- okay, that's a bit harsh. It actually looks like she says the f bomb, but closed captioning suggests otherwise.

When I reran the movie, I can understand the OP's confusion, except that it doesn't make sense the way its used in the sentence. No one says "this trip _ ucks" unless it's with an "s".

Like your screen name, btw.

Settle down, vulgar etymology know-it-alls.

Urban Dictionary says "*beep*" (the f-word with an s at the end of it) can be used as an abbreviation for "*beep*ing s*cks." So if Caitlin had said that, it would've made perfect sense.
