I can't believe the ratings on IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes. This film is fantastic. It has good cinematography, good surround sound, good acting, good choreography, good story. Three of the actors--Jet Li, Jackie Chan, and Liu Yifei--played two roles each. I didn't even recognize Jackei Chan as Hop. Great martial arts film. 9 stars.

Some of it is pretty good.

The story is Boring White Boy Is The Chosen One. The story is utter *beep*

No, it's not underrated. It's a movie that should have been totally awesome, and came out barely adequate.

... i thought it was fine. Jet Li and Jackie Chan address the fact that the protagonist is caucasian in a brief dialogue that ends with Jackie Chan replying "we are all the same underneath." Besides, martial arts is not obviously restricted to just chinese folks.

good story, lots of kung fu, decent acting.
