A few things I don't get.

I've watched this movie a few times and there's a few things I don't get. I'm not sure if they were explained throughout the story because I can't remember, so if they were, then you all know why.

* Why did the pole chose the kid to travel back in time to where the story began?

* If the Emperor turned the Monkey King into stone and the Monkey King tossed his pole to safety, how did the Monkey King managed to make another clone before being turned into stone?

* Why did the Monkey King's clone decide to become a silent monk?

* What did Jackie's Chan say when the kid said that he doesn't understand what Jackie's character was saying?
