Request To See Extended Cut

Someone needs to contact Gregor Jordan and ask if he'll ever release the longer, extended, supposedly better cut of this film. I'm a fan of the film in its current format, but supposedly from the mouth of Bret Easton Ellis and Gregor himself, there is a better, darker and more devastating cut of the film out there that has at the very least 40 minutes cut. I fear we will never see this cut someday because the film did not to well financially or critically. If enough people get behind it, maybe Gregor Jordan would try and release the extended cut. I really don't care what format it is at this point. A new Blu-ray releasing would be nice, but if I could just watch this thing online I'd be grateful.

Please Mr. Jordan... We would love to see your extended/alternate cut! :)

I second that wish. This is a great movie in it's current version. i would love to see a longer cut, especially one that both the director and B. Ellis think is superior to this cut. I think this is the first film based on Ellis' work that actually gives the characters genuine emotional depth. I wasn't expecting that.

I want to see an extended version so badly! I wonder if it includes the vampire plotline...

I'd like to see it. I only recently watched this movie, I avoided it for many years b/c of the bad reviews. Gotta say I didn't like it, but seems like it could be saved. I think no humor is what killed it for me. Rules and AM were hysterical. I think the satire is what helps you take this otherwise very depressing material.

Less Than Zero had already proven that 20 years earlier, but was saved by it's earnestness inspite of having nothing to do with the novel. This had neither. Amber Heard naked and banging was about the only thing enjoyable. I liked Tim and his story and Brad Renfro was good though. I feel like maybe I should give it another shot before dismissing it, but it's really boring and not engaging.

On a side note, I've read Brandon Routh was cast as the vampire but was dropped before any scenes were shot. Hope that's not true.
