In episode one where all the residents do a weird little dance for the Brogans at the housewarming party, what is the track they dance to? I recognise it but can't remember what its called.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We wore ear pieces for that to keep in time. Quite weird. Others said that they recognised the song. I found it familiar, but it reminded me of another song, so I'm still none the wiser. Someone will know!

I'm probably asking too much but does anyone know the actual artist who sang the song in the episode? There are so many versions.

The track they dance to is The Beat Goes On, performed by The Buddy Rich Big Band. I don't know who the singer is, sorry, but the tune was composed by Sonny Bono.

Haha! It's part of the institutionalised nature of the set-up. Has to be the same each time.

It does grate after a while, but it has a gret quality to it that fits in perfectly with the theme/s.
