Any word on when it's coming here?

reply

Presumably you can get it on amazon we get the US dvds here from amazon.com try amazon.co.uk see if they ship it to the states

reply

They'll ship it here, but most folks in North America need region one discs. AS of right now, those of us in that boat are screwed.

When are folks gonna get the message that there are ways around the region coding, including playing the discs in your computer and buying a region free player for as little as $55 (Philips makes several models available at Walmarts and Targets that will also play avi files that you download from the internet.)

I DO like Region1 discs because then you can rent them from Netflix but otherwise there are options for the shows you really want.

Most supplied media players (like Windows Media Player or other software that comes with a DVD drive) will let you change the region code up to 5 times. But there are ways around it. I use Media Player Classic (just google it...it's freeware). It doesn't have any such restrictions. MPC doesn't care what region the disc is.

There's also a program that friends of mine use but I don't remeber the name. I did a google search for such a program that supposed to work with any video software you already have but from comments I read on freeware programs some folks can't always get them to work.

So in short, yes. But you'll have to install some software. I highly recommend Media Player Classic.
