HILARIOUS

its a damn shame that isnt one person postin who feels the same!

reply

I agree 100%.
The Pimp Chronicles had me laughing my ass off.

But you know what is a true damn shame?
That there are two people who posted here, yet there are a tone of posts on the Dane Cook board.
Go figure.

And since you seem to be the only one who posted here, I have a question.
I have seen this show twice and each time I can not figure out who is talking about coming out of the closet.
Professor something or other.
Do you know who he is referring to?

But yeah, Katt Williams is a funny guy.
I might even watch and episode of Wild N' Out now.

reply

I think he's reffering to that guy from star trek, the asian guy who ended up being gay or something? Isn't that him? Or i duno, but i *beep* loved that show man, i laughed my ass off so hard.. Man he is so *beep* clever with his jokes.

reply

this *beep* was hilarious! Love Him!

Hum....George Takai came out of the closet a long, long time ago I think.
I thought maybe he was referring to the actor who played the teacher that Monique was all in love with on that show Monique was on. The Parkers or whatever.

reply

That's who he was talking about...!!! Professor Oglevy (sp?)....! I think he said it so fast that he pronounced it wrong but we ALL knew what he meant!

reply

Referring to your question as to who is "coming out of the closet," I think Katt Williams was referring to Professor Stanley Oglevee from The Parkers, played by Dorien Wilson. I am unsure and this is just a speculation, as the character was not gay on the show and I do not believe the actor is either.

I hope this may help.

reply

Katt IS all that!!!! I thought The Pimp Chronicles was hilarious!!!!!!

Peace.

This was one of the better stand-up specials I have seen on HBO in quite awhile. He really started to cook when he started in on Michael Jackson. Everything he said about Michael was on the money and hilarious. Great show. Have already seen it twice and wouldn't mind seeing it again.

reply

I agree. That Michael Jackson stuff was great.
I just felt the show was a little short for being a full on HBO special.
Just when he is on a roll with the Jackson stuff, it ends.

Kat ROCKS!

I watched, and then turned a few friends on to him. And to someone else and what they said about Dane Cook, he's a good comic in his own right. Each are two totally different types of comics and shouldn't be compared.

I think Mr. Williams is going to only get bigger and better. Once upon a time Dane Cook was an unknown too and so were Richard Pryor..and Eddie Murphy. Gotta start somewhere...and this is a damn good start.

reply

Ok, but can you explain why Dane Cook was given an hour and a half and Katt was only given 40 minutes? Dane did not sustain the humor for an hour and a half with the same consistency that Katt did. Overall, Katt's special was much funnier and maybe it was because it was more economical.

reply

Actually if I'm not mistaken Dane's special was produced by someone else entirely.

So it's highly probable that they gave him more money to have a longer special whereas Kat produced his own and may not have been able to afford longer or perhaps he didn't WANT to do longer.

We need to stop reading things into it. Its a great special and we hope he does more. End of story. They are both great comics and I hope to see them go further.

reply

I'm glad you mentioned the length because that caught me off guard as well. he only did about 40 minutes. Just as you said, he was on a roll with the Michael Jackson stuff, and then , bam, it was over. I don't understand HBO sometimes. They give Dane Cook 90 minutes but this guy can't even get a full hour?

reply

glad to see others that feel the same, by the way i also had NO CLUE what he was talking about regarding "the professor", only bit i didnt catch, maybe its an atlanta thing?

my favorite line was about the people with awful jobs who dont smoke herb, oh man! the MJ rips were a riot too

reply

Katt Williams is performing in Minneapolis tonight... Im going and I hope he does that dance thing with all the sports stuff rolled into it..... Hilarious!

pimp chronicles is my favorite stand-up show EVER... ive seen it no less than 100 times, got the dvd, its on my ipod too... I like having Katt with me wherever I go lol... the only thing in the show that I didnt get was the "He came out the closet!! Oh my god a rubber!! rubber!!" but now that somebody explained the whole "the parkers" reference, it definitely makes sense... but his views on weed smoking was the best part of the whole show because everything he says is the TRUTH!! if you been sellin weed since 1994, and you aint bumped up to cocaine in 2006!!! you need to be a jahova's witness or a real estate consultant or some *beep*

"Zoinks, Yo..."
