Question: Portrayal of Spaniards in 'Revolution'

I've just recently watched the 'Revolution' episode and I thought the Spaniards were dressed much like the Spaniards of the Middle Ages. Did Spaniards really dress so similarly in the B.C. era or were the costumes just inaccurately portrayed for that period? I'm really not sure how the Spaniards dressed that long ago and that is why I'm asking, were the costumes modeled based on Middle Ages Spanish uniforms or is that really how they dressed that long ago?

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.

I have looked at modern books on ancient warrior costumes, and I gather the Spaniards of this era would have been the Celt-Iberians. Their costumes, according to modern illustrators, were knee-length tunics, bare legs, sandals. Armour comprised Celtic-looking helmets, some breastplates and shin-guards. Some captured Roman armour would have been worn as well. Presumably the wealthier the warrior, the more armoured items he would have.
