It's on Netflix and IT ROCKS!!

Sadly, the trailer did not let on to how good the movie actually is. Much much better than I expected. Well done.

Yep. I just watched it last night for the first time

it was good. A hell of a lot better than that 2000 Live-action Rocky and Bullwinkle movie. That was just terrible

I don't think I would have ever watched this movie were it not for Netflix. What a pleasant surprise. Hilarious, but also heartwarming.

Watching it right now and I'm liking it too. That's one thing I love about Netflix is that it lets you watch movies you might never have otherwise.

My son and I both missed it in theaters, saw it was on Netflix and decided to take a chance. A thousand times better than what I had expected. Very cute and funny movie!

I'm glad it's available on Netflix, too, but reading this thread makes me a little sad. If all of you are enjoying it so much, imagine what a difference it would have made if you had gone to see it in the theater? Imagine you and many others had gone opening weekend, when the numbers matter the most to the success of a studio and give the studio their biggest percentage of profit (they diminish over subsequent showings and the theaters get more). Imagine Dreamworks did not have to lay off 500+ people and cut back to two films a year with only one being released this year. Imagine fans stop playing studio favorites. It was a cute movie and did not deserve to bomb.

I'm 26, watched it last night with my Dad, who had me grow up watching R&B VHS. We loved every second of it, fantastic movie!

Where is the madness that you promised me? Where is the dream for which I paid dearly?

reply

I loved it!!!

My son (4), loves it and me too. It's fun, beautiful and stylish and Mr Peabody and Sherman are quite likable and not so stereotypical. Would have been interesting to see more of them, sad that it did so bad in theaters.

I'm blaming Dreamworks marketing on the dismal box office. i remember seeing the TV spot and just thought this was another classic cartoon being ruined in a re-make. I looked like it was going to be just another silly cartoon movie that will bore adults to tears. Well Netflix to the rescue. I literally just saw it and was very pleasantly surprised at just how clever and intelligent it is. It's too bad DWA probably now won't make a sequel because of the poor showing. Peabody's Improbable History was my favorite of the Jay Ward vignettes of the old Rocky & Bullwinkle Show. This movie did nothing to sully the original.

I really like it too. My husband bought it for my son. He's only 2 so yeah, but he loves it. We have a small white dog so he gets excited, except he calls Mr. Peabody my dogs name. He currently watches it on Netflix from time to time.

I was hesitant to watch it, but I'm glad I did, irs such a cute movie. I usually don't have a problem with childrens movies though. I don't put much thought to them.

Like Disneys Brave, many ppl didn't like it, but I LOVE IT, it made me cry! 😢

Everyone sees what you appear to be, few experience what you really are.

That's adorable. 😄

And yeah, real happy this was on Netflix. I brought up Dreamworks' box office bomb movies a couple times on forums, and this one their one bomb I never saw, so I figured I'd check to see if it was there so I could have a full opinion on it. I'm glad I did.
