I despised all of the characters - chained to the rules of the society - unable to break free.

Seriously, while some people view the presented situation with pity, in my case, I felt nothing but disgust. The bigger problem for me is - you want to have at least one character with whom you could sympathize - but there were none here and that made the whole film a poor one, where I had to fast-forward just to see how this travesty of despicable characters in a horrible situation would end.
