My favorite 'Peter and the Wolf'

This is so touching. When I was young, I was fascinated by the Disney. But then, Disney is Disney. This is darker and infuses character. The score is almost secondary. All of the characters seemed real. Sonia was so sweet, innocent and full of joy. Alas!

A few years ago, I started collecting recordings of P&W. I am not a program muscic fan. However, I was fascinated by the narrators who chose to record this work.

Sean Connery, Jose Ferrer, Patrick Stewart, John Gielgud, Sting and William F. Buckley. I also think that Prokofiev's daughter narrated.

I thought I was Wolfed out, this brought me in as no rendition has ever done before.
