Hated the ending

I absolutely hated the ending! The couple got away with murder, and sit on the beach acting like they did nothing wrong. I wish at least one of them would have burned alive inside the house along with the man they killed.

(And it does not matter that they say they didn't know he would be there - in his own house. They took a gun with them. So killing was not something they had a problem with.)

Don't they murder him in the book and get away with it? What is self-defense about that? Did he go after them?

reply

Hated the movie...just throwing it out there...

Am I missing something?? Was there a time lapse in between Kim turning off the gas and the house exploding cos if not they all would have been burned alive in the explosion? Anyway, please someone put me out of my misery cos I won't sleep otherwise..LOL!!
P.S. Re the lips.........WHAT was she thinking??????!!!!

reply

Agreed...time lapse, definitely. Poorly done, yes, but there was one. Agreed on the lips. She was so pretty too. It's hard to believe that goofy Stacey from Waynes World has become a total fruit loop. At least she had a little meat on her bones for this one.

Whats your damage heather?-veronica sawyer

reply

No, they don't get away with it in the book.
In the book they simply murder Kim, stay in their own home, waiting for the evil in the house to come and get them.
And they never adopt the little girl either.

From watching the movie, I thought that she turned the gun on herself and committed suicide after that.

*beep* Zack Morris.

I hated the ending too because it's laughable how they survived that. They were still in the damn house! I never read the book.

Clark's destiny = Superman, Lex Luthor & Lois Lane.

The film itself was nothing fantastic. Very cliche in its various plot aspects which could be easily guessed before they happened. The direction in particular was poor in many scenes. The scene where Anita hangs herself is an example, it was rushed and felt amateurish.

I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not.
