at Cannes - - Kirsten Dunst as Marie Antoinette

Wow! I just followed the imdb dot-com links to see that the feature film also titled "MARIE ANTOINETTE" (2006) has Gen X actress Kirsten Dunst playing the French queen with her American accent audible. Jason Schwartzman (as directed by his cousin Sofia Coppola) plays the part of Louis XVI - - hmm, how effective should this be ? ? ? also, rock music as part of the score - - history for the masses, I guess - - or at least the 18-24 demographic as far as American audiences of mass media. What have you heard? Will you see it on its opening weekend? Please post.

This documentary is very good.
Sofia Coppola's film seems to be factually correct but the casting of Kirsten Dunst was not a good choice. She was just not believable. Too much of a modern face. Obviously, was not done to be authentic, more to get tickets sales, because she was really hot at that time. She then did not have one gram of fat in her body. People then were a little rounder. Why not cast some one at least with some curves?
