Yikes, what attention to detail. I just noticed that the zombified school bus kids who arrive at Mr. Kreeg's house in the closing scene can be seen in the background leaving that same-said house in the opening pre-title sequence at minute 3:30 (behind the three running trick-or-treaters & to the left of the guy with the white mask). I can't help but wonder what bounty they have in their bags.

(Extra credit to anyone who recognizes the name of the band whose song inspired the post title! Hehe.)

You just made me revisit the scenes. You are correct in that there are 8 dead bus kids on the front porch in the last scene and only 5 visible in the prologue, but I would humbly submit that in the prologue the Vampire kid (leading) and the Tall Devil Cloaked kid (toward the back) are clearly identifiable. Plus, the whole "lumbering zombie gait" they're doing contrasts nicely with the running kids in foreground.:)
