I thought this was supposed to be a comedy???

If it was, even a dark comedy (which I normally love), I didn't find anything funny about it...

I was also surprised by the dark tone of it, and though I also love black comedy, I found myself wincing rather than laughing. But I enjoyed the film and the characters for their quirks, even though I didn't find the situation very believable. 7/10 stars from me.

Quirky comedy - drama I would have thought. I've seen it a couple of times and have to admit I didn't find it as funny the second time.

The sister burned down the house, that was funny :)

Haha, it actually was, even though I felt so bad for Norah. Her reaction when she found out the room was on fire was pretty funny.

I swear to god, there's one of these threads on every indie dramedy board. "It's not a comedy, I didn't laugh once!" Just because you don't laugh out loud doesn't mean it doesn't have comedic moments. Like that scene where Rose drops the blood-stained mattress and Norah falls right on top of it. And nobody said this was a straight-up comedy. But I'm willing to bet you thought it was a comedy because it was marketed to you as one, which is just straight up misleading marketing. I am so sick of indies/dramedies being marketed as comedies, as though drama even mixed with comedy is off-putting or something. But then again I guess when most of the population is so stupid the easiest way to appeal to them is comedy.

You heart me? What is that? Is that like I love you for pussies?

I assumed it would be a comedy but on reflection I don't know why - perhaps just the presence of Alan Arkin and the shiney title. The was humour in the story but it was more of a sympathetic smile than feel good, laugh out loud sort. I enjoyed it though for whatever it was.

I was taken by surprise by the heavy themes it tackled and permanent 'downer tone' it had. I stuck with it because it was mildly interesting, but I felt conned.

I dont like comedies and I was pleased to see that it wasn't really a comedy despite the description, except for a few scènes in the beginning.

I thought it was funny, but the humor was more dark than I was expecting
