Jean Dujardin as Lupin

Raise your hands if you want The Artist's Jean Dujardin to play the live-action Lupin the 3rd! Cause he would be great for this role.

Sorry, this is a Japanese film and Shun Ogori has been cast as Lupin.

For Hollywood, I can't really tell who COULD play the role, since it is a racially ambiguous one: a French-Japanese thief. But yeah, Dujardian DOES look like a great Lupin.

Lupin the 3rd is not "racially ambiguous". Lupin the 3rd is Asian. Lupin the 3rd only claims he is related to Arsene Lupin. That's his gimmick.

Dujardian looks nothing like Lupin the 3rd because Dujardian is not Asian. Lupin the 3rd is specifically drawn as an Asian. In manga/anime white characters are drawn different from the Asian characters and Lupin is not drawn as a white character. Too many westerns don't pick up on what those details are that make it clear who is white and who is Asian because they have been exposed to bad information thanks to how poorly anime has been released in the West.

If Hollywood were to make their own version then Asian Americans should be hired to play all of the main roles although Zenigata and Goemon can be played by a Japanese nationals since those characters are specifically supposed to be from Japan.
