Should this be in Goofs?

There are two bodies (I wont say whose) that are tied together and go over the bridge, yet when one of them is washed to shore, the other body is nowhere to be seen.

I noticed that but oh well. Did you enjoy the program in general?

I see dead people

reply

The body washed ashore might have been The Monkey. The other body not seen could have been Buchan, he might not have been found and that would be a way for Jack to bring the character back to life for the next novel.

The monkey was another manifestation of the writer, Jack Harvey (also known as Ian Rankin) - only Jack Buchan's death could end the book series, so only his death was important, but as the Monkey was actually the writer, he couldn't actually die.

Remeber - none of this was real - it was all in Ian Rankin's - sorry, Jack Harvey's mind and novels.
