How did Albert cross the border?

Two things:
1) How did Albert cross the border to Canada? I am sure since police knew that he was alive, they would have checked the borders so he couldn't leave the country.

2)The bank manager knew the account that they made the money transfer, so why didn't he blocked the money afterwards or let the police knew about it? At least they could have catch him at the time of withdrawal (even though he sent someone else to pick the money up)

1) i asked the same question. this would never have happened. not in a million years. theres no way albert wouldve crossed. there woudlve been a nation wide man hunt for this guy.

2) maybe the bank manager really doesnt care at all about the money. from where i see things, i think all the hostages made a pack not to say a word about anything.
so maybe they all in the end, helped wolf and his men out.
they took their clothes, so im sure the hostages couldve said, those guys took our clothes, and pretended to be us. but they said nothing.

and finally 3) in the end, who truly gives a crap..all it is, is a piece of garbage show that had all the potential in the world but in the end ...the writers rushed everything just to end it.

FACKERS!@!!!

How many bank robbers from another country would you recognize?
My guess is none, remember he could have picked up the money months down the road.
Getting across the border to Canada is very easy. It is the largest undefended border in the world after all.
As for the money the bank Manager said that the money is untraceable due to the routing etc and if he got caught cashing it then it would have been his fault.
But in the end you have to suspend disbelief like in most other movies.

Think about this, he got out of a tight spot while swat stood around oafishly looking up in the air. It never occurred to a single swat member that 2 facts existed.

A huge loud train was going down the tracks a couple hundred feet away. A soldier was missing that was there and now isn’t. If that is the kind of idiots he is going to evade I am sure he could cross the border in a pink Cadillac with Ride of the Valkyries blaring on a loudspeaker.

If a Mexican with an IQ of 50 can cross a border with the most sophisticated system in the world guarding it then I can only assume a soldier can cross a huge border that isn’t guarded.

How difficult would it be to just walk through a forest? There is not enough manpower even if they were expecting it to stop someone on foot.

Did they even know that he was going to cross the Canadian border? They didn’t eve know where he went.

...and another thing that bugged me about the ending:

As the train approaches the bridge and passes Albert, don't you think that the engineer of the train would have seen Albert holding a rifle? If he had, don't you think that he would have reported that to someone?

I thought the exact same thing...he's stumbling around on the train tracks with a rifle, and the train kept going....first thing I thought :)

Crossing _in_ to Canada is as easy as sitting in a car.

Crossing back into the US gets a little tense.

Just finished the DVDs last night, and my first thought was 'how did he get $500,000 cash U.S. from a Canadian bank?!?!!' There are tons of forms to fill out for any withdrawal over $10,000 to prevent illegal...blah, blah, blah.

Now that 'Albert' is a millionaire, it would be funny if he tried to impress Ashley and get back with her.:-) Actually, they looked creepy together, he was twice her age.

I don't even know why nobody mentioned the canadian money thing, seems so simple (didn't occur to me till you mentioned it)

the US Canadian border is 5,525 mi long and is one of the least defended borders in the world even after 9/11. Would he have problems passing through a major border crossing? Maybe, could he just walk across the border in North Dakota? Or take a boat from the harbor in New York or cross any of the great lakes? Absolutely. As for the us money in Canada he had his friend who wasn't on anyone's radar get the cash for him. Sure he had a lot of paperwork to fill out but so what he wasn't a criminal.
