Is Ghost Image close to being released in US cinemas?

Is Ghost Image close to release now? It said on the Release Dates page that the film was coming out on 11th September, 2007. I thought it seemed a strange release date as films are normally released in US cinemas on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. The release date is still the same. I've just checked the same page.

But Tuesdays are release days for home movies. I was hoping for a DVD by now. Not sure what the new date is. Anyone know?

Hi there!

Ghost Image is still making the festival circuit. It was screened on July 23rd at The St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase where it won Best Feature Film, Best Director, and Best Cinematography. Granted, this is a very small venue, but its a start.

It will screen on November 10th at The St. Louis International Film Festival (a much, much larger venue) and Elisabeth Rohm will (most likely) be in attendance.

Though I am the director of the film, I'm not sure why September 11th was put on the IMDb. I suppose one of the producers may have done that. I'm thinking that since we wrapped principal photography on September 15th of last year, that maybe one of my producers picked that day because it was the Tuesday (home video release day) one year out from completion of shooting, and it was assumed that it would be on the home video market on or around that time.

It is typical that indie films take a while to be released as they don't have the guaranteed distribution pipeline that studio films have. Nonetheless, its a good film and it will find a home.

I promise that the moment I know when and where it can be seen by the general public, be it on cable and/or broadcast and/or DVD, I will make a New Topic post right here to announce it.

Stay Tuned!!!

Many thanks for the update.

Hi! I am an extra from the film and I've been asked when this movie will be out. It looks like some form of release is on the horizon. Thanks again, Jack Snyder (and Mike Ketcher) for the opportunity!
