I am so glad that the film is coming out finally. I predict an oscar nomination and several best actress wins for Susan Sarandon.

Have you seen it? When? How?
I wonder if it'll be presented at the Toronto Film Festival. Or even perhaps at the Montreal Film Festival, if there is such an event this year...

NOt seriously....I hope that was a sarcastic remark....honestly, the movie was terrible

I couldn't get this site. Did it say anything about when the film will be released? Will it be one of those limited releases? If so, it will probably be shown at the Toronto Film Festival.

OK Karen, great news.
I just got confirmation from a lovely lady at the production company that Emotional Arithmetic will be showing at TIFF this fall. And since she didn't say I was sworn to secrecy, I thought I'd share this.

Now, how on earth will I find money to get to Toronto again this year???

Yeah, I got to go last year, too. But I'm absolutely sure I can't go this year considering I just got back from LA where I was on vacation---and almost got to see Gabe as I took the Paramount studio tour where he is filming his new HBO series. The cast of In Treatment was at lunch at the time. I did get to see the set of In Treatment however. It was pointed out to our group that everyone filming a new show always wants to film on Stage 25 as it is thought to bethe "lucky" stage. All of Lucille Ball's shows were filmed there and shows like Cheers and Frazier were too. So, this might be a great turning point for Gabe. However, I don't think he wants to be involved with a long running TV show nor would he want to live in LA.

Also, just once I wish Gabe could make a movie which comes out in theaters in a timely fashion which a person could easily find in their neighborhood. When Wah-Wah was released on DVD it didn't have all the extras on it if you lived in the US or Canada. The European and Australian DVD's had all kinds of special features on them. I still don't know that Jindabyne has been released on DVD in the US. Fortunately I have a friend in Europe who gets them for me and I have a DVD player that will play them. I wonder how long it will take to be able to see Emotional Arithmetic on the big screen or get it on DVD? It sounds like it will be a good movie.
