Survival of the dead anyone?
I would like to go back in time and kill the idiot who created the term "reimagining."
Survival had a few things that should've made it great. 1 Goerge 2 the renegade soldier, which could've made the story way more intriguing if used right. Still kinda like it but man it is thee worst of Romero zombie films

You know I still hate LAND of the DEAD the most and it is the film that I appeared in as a zombie. Survival was not very good, but better than Land. I wish they, George and Company, would have just focused more on the soldiers and the kid. Maybe having them trying to get to the Island through the whole film but running into different scenarios... Looters, zombies etc.
Survival had promise but the waring Drunken Irish clans was just absolutely the dumbest flucking thing I have ever seen... but not as dumb as Big Daddy.
Diary is the only one of the newest three Romero films I like, I only have two problems with the entire flick... the chic doing the voice over/narration, and them doing the POV from the TExas chics crappy video camera when they were running over the zombies. I think George should have shot the movie in both 1st and 3rd person, I think it would have come off much better, but... I still enjoyed it much more than LAND and SURVIVAL.

shareYep, its low budget and most likely not your style... we all don't have $100,000,000 at our disposal to make the Michael Bay of Zombie films, so we make due with what money we have. =0)

Of the new trilogy, I definitely liked "Diary" the least. There are a few interesting ideas but the they really don't do much of interest with the whole "documentary" concept. "Land" and "Survival" aren't great films but the material is far less grating than some of the stuff they attempt in "Diary".

I loved Land of the Dead and Diary of the Dead. I liked this movie, too. I don't go by budget, script, production , or acting. I go by how the movie makes me feel when I watch it and how I feel after I'm done. All three, in spite of the flaws, had me entertained and creeped out.
I don't expect any movie to be perfect, I just watch and see if it entertains me. That's what movies are for. If it entertains me, it's good.
