Best apocalyptic sci-fi horror since 28 Days Later

Just saying...

I'll agree but there are some others that I think are pretty good and have that feeling of realism in an apocalyptic scenario like "The Road". This movie was pretty good at showing the total breakdown of society and individuals that would occur in that situation.

I'm fairly in agreement except to qualify by saying MIGHT occur rather than WOULD.

I think the first act setting up all that follows, just expects us to take a lot for granted that well may not necessarily occur in that way.

Strongly disagree. 28DL is GREAT! A really great script that is smart and pay homage where it should. Blindness sucks, it had a crappy plot and uninteresting characters and the movie just solves itself without any help from the cast.

Children of Men is A LOT better

Bang on the money!

However, in my book, Blindness comes a bit before 28DL and waaay before any other movie mentioned in this thread. Even Children of Men, as good as it is, didn't come close to Blindness' greatness in my opinion.

Although, i never considered that movie as a horror flick, but rather as a powerful yet horrible documentary on human nature and our moral values in terms of individuals and society.

The movie brilliantly showed as well the unsuspected link there could be between 2 apparently random facts: sight and.... moral!
It literally blew my mind and i'd never have come to that interpretation otherwise.

Yeah, stunning movie. A true gem. A work of art.

Both Blindness and 28 Days Later are good, they are rather different actually, although they contain some similar themes. I can't say which is better.
