This movie is so underrated!
It deserves to be praised and worshiped like City Of Gods!

I agree.

Do you smell taters?
I thought it was quite good and in really surprised that I'd not heard of it before.
Also suprised the tv network played it at 1am... surely it's worthy of an 8:30pm play?
Agreed. Not a classic but certainly enjoyable and not comfortable viewing.

I very much agree. An intriguing premise! Still thinking about it days later.
shareI agree that it is underrated. I think a lot of people have problems with it because it's not an easy movie to watch. I like this movie a lot, it makes you think. People rely heavily on their eyesight and it's difficult to imagine being in a world where everyone loses their sight.
meg.
It's pretty sad when movies like Hostel and Saw, and other horror movies verging on (or being) torture porn are big hits, but a movie such as this, which contains no more violence or brutality than occurs on the streets (of the US, anyway) on a daily basis might "scare off" potential viewers.
shareAmen brother/sister, amen.

It was a great film! The acting contributed a lot to it, because the characters, even the bad ones, didn't feel like 2 dimensional caricatures. It also showed the nasty side of human nature without being overly vulgar, even if it was a difficult viewing at times.
shareI thought it was beyond idiotic. Moore's character could have taken control of the situation in short order. Pretty much ANY sighted person would have dominated a bunch of newly blind people. Period.
