I'm convinced that I saw somewhere that this, like Mass Effect, is intended to be the first part of a trilogy. My old PC died and took my saved net links with it, and I now cannot find reference to that anywhere.
Is this just wishful thinking, or is in indeed just part 1?

I doubt that is true and I wouldn't personally want it to be true either. The game concludes very well and I really cant see how you could make two more sequels.

Having beaten the game, in retrospect, I entirely agree. It does indeed end very well, and it doesn't seem like anything further is coming out, which I now appreciate.
