This game gotta be massive. I mean 4 DVD-DL's?? Thats like 40 GB! This game seems to be really huge and its got 50 hours of gameplay! Man I just gotta get this game. This even looks better than FFXIII.

I am almost exactly where sloopydrew is as well and I think the game is phenomenal! Not to mention some twists that have already been revealed! Great stuff! Looking forward to playing the next 3 discs. And for the record, Seth rocks!

shareIt's alright. I wouldn't say it's great. The script could sure use quite a bit of work, and for the most part, the voice acting is pretty weak. But as JRPGs go, it's pretty good.

I'm not sure how you could deem the voice acting to be of a low standard, however to each his own.
People also shouldnt judge the time of the game disk by disk, they seem to really varie, heres how it went for me:
Disk 1: 12 Hours
Disk 2: 13 Hours
Disk 3: 16 Hours
Disk 4: 33 Hours
There's some pretty laughably bad voice acting in the game, though Gongora is probably the worst.

Jansen has the best VA IMO, I reckon the main reason it's on 4 DVD's is because of all the different spoken langauge that are avalible. As the game doesn't seem to long really compared with say other RPG's like Eternal Sonata or Encharted Arms

You're right. Jansen is the best. The problem is so much of the voice acting is just flat.
The real reason there are 4 disks is because of all the FMVs. Unlike games like Mass Effect, the FMVs in Lost Odyssey are not done using the in game character models.

The best voice acting has to be the kids and jensen, the rest arent fantastic but get you through it I suppose.
shareThe kids aren't as good as they should have been, considering Cooke is a professional voice actor. It sounds like she phoned it in. Though it's not entirely her fault, the dialog is pretty cheesy and kind of lame.

It is a big game, i love how it's so old school, RPGs nowadays make the mistake of not including a world map and stuff like L.O, really brings the immersion down.
I *just* finished it this afternoon, clocking in at 70 hours even. But I did all the side-quests and all of the backyard battles except one. Ended up with all immortals at level 80. Heheh, got to a point where I was like "man, I just wanna see the ending now.". Great game. Want sequel. Please. KTHX.
