If I were Shinji

I would have just atoned for nearly caused the apocalypse. It seems that Shinji wants the world destroyed though he acts like he does not.

Wow, that is edgy. Shinji would had just listened to Kaworu. You really want people to atone for everything.

reply

You are missing the point, I never said "Atone for everything". What Shinji should have done was not pilot an Eva again. Tell me, how would you feel if the person who pretty much destroyed the world got off free and clear? How many families did he tear apart and how many innocent people did he kill?

Too much bureaucracy impedes practical thought

reply

Still, I wouldn't blame him because it was not his fault and was not his true intention.

Why do you hate Shinji so much? He is just a character of fiction, it is almost like something personal on him.

Bureaucracy is something that can't be defeated. What you say is true but this world is not for the idealist. Sadly. You need to be bullet proof to change the world into something better.

How do you atone something like that?

He boarded the EVA because Kaworu told him the earth can be restored to its earlier shape by an EVA. Why do I repeat what was said in the movie just as clearly? xD

If I was Shinji I would have boarded the EVA too but when Kaworu said that something is not right with the lances I'd have stopped.

I don't know why Shinji ignored his concern and warnings.
Shinji should have learnt from the last time. The realization of what he caused should be shock deep in his guts, a trauma that should almost paralyze him when brought into a situation in that he could fk up again.
Kaworu was his friend too and the one who had the intel and the knowledge.

I don't get this part. Ruined the 3rd movie for me more.

And we know (Shinji does not) that Kaworu wanted to work for Shinji's well being.
