Really bad movie

I am a true fan to the original Evangelion anime and I have spent a lot of time reading informations all over the internet just to put together the missing pieces that could help me understand as much as possible. I also loved End of Evangelion.
In my opinion, in Evangelion there is so much stuff that to do it justice a 52 episodes serie would be needed. Cramming such an intense and large scale story in 4 movies is simply impossible. What's worse, the whole anime has been squeezed into the firse two movies, leaving this mess (the third) and the last one to finish the (new?) story.
I cannot describe how amazing the combat scene and the imagery are. The awesomeness of colors, explosions, animations and graphics are beyond anything seen before.
However, the story is an insult to the audience (and a double insult to fans). We see a serie of scenes, patched together in nonsense, with extremely weak dialogue, that present us a story that makes no sense at all. Except a couple of moments where things are explained clearly, and still make no sense. We hear people blabbing about countless things that we don't know what are and there is no explanation. This is exactly the technique Lindelof has served us in LOST: show amazing things, trying to give them a coherence. and if you fail, just mess things up, don't tell, never answer, and go on. and still a lot of people will call it a masterpiece.
This is movie is a total miss. The best thing one can do is to chop off all the ridicolous dialogue and stick together the good action moments, and add a proper soundtrack.

I liked the first one and the second even more, the third one not. Hope the last one does a half proper ending. I don't except a proper ending, that wouldn't fit NGE xD

I'm also a fan of the old series. It was my entry to animes back then.
Not the End of Evangelion movie though, that one I consider as crap³

The storytelling differs more with every movie released. I wouldn't compare both directly anymore.

Just like the old tv series ^^
I remember after I watched EoE I was like 'Wtf, and that's all? I've more questions than before' ^^

I would've loved if the dialog took some time to explain what happened during the 14 year gap. Like how and why WILLE were formed, what happened to the characters personality shifts, etc.
