ridiculous lol. the amount destruction and yet...

every time there's an angel attack people have to evacuate. not sure the time line but isn't there like one attack a month? do people still bother living in japan? and, every time an angel dies it's like a small nuclear bomb goes off and levels an entire city the size of manhattan. but the next scene it looks like they rebuilt everything in a flash and everything goes back to normal. WTF?

or am i missing something here?

Actually a lot of citizens do leave because of the angel attacks. If I recall right, at the end of the original series the city was practically a ghost town, so many citizens had left.

the battles are taking place in different parts of Japan, not next door to each other.

As far as i can tell the world is at total war. Every country even ones not being directly attacked are going to be annihilated if the angels succeed. They know it too, or why would they be making Evas too? America obviousy was attacked too but it seems to have something of significance there in that base.

Way I see it people dont leave because the whole of Japan's population is probably employed to serve NERV in some way or other. They might be civilians but in total war Civilans are part of the war effort too, and people dont just desert the war especially when defeat means absolute global destruction. Remember that the world was already completely devestated by second impact, billions died, nobody in the world that remains has any illusions about how close to complete annihilation the human race is - what you think they are going to do?

I have a 1 hour posting quota for posting a link to (great) tits. OK? So don't do that!

I find the amount of time it takes them to clear angel carcasses and rebuild damaged city structures pretty unbelievable as well. It's comparable to how quickly the second death star was built in Return of the Jedi.
