There was a true story.

This movie reminds me of a true event "Yougnja Story" happened in Korea circa 2000; A photographer found a father and a daughter(18 yr) living deep in the wood without electricity or running water. They got media spotlight and became famous overnight. The foster family in the city took her in for her education. However, the father soon got killed by a robber who thought he'd have lots of money($100 in cash was all he had). Further investigation revealed the foster father raped her and extorted all her earnings from TV and books. She left the world once again for good and became a monk saying "This world is a monster."
